Herbert Mueller, P.Eng

Herbert is currently a Senior Electrical Engineer at the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and a registered professional engineer in both Alberta and Ontario. He received dual B.Eng in electrical engineering and a B.Sc in physics from the University of Saskatchewan. Herbert is currently pursuing a M.Eng degree in nuclear engineering, with a specialization in fusion power, through the Penn State University, World Campus.

He has over ten years of experience in multiple energy industries including oil and gas, thermal and hydro power generation.

Herbert and his wife, Abra, are the co-founders of Element NRG, a clean energy startup with the mission to elevate fusion into the forefront of the Canadian energy portfolio.

Abra received a B.Sc. in Public Health from the University of Colorado where she also worked as a program coordinator and co-taught ethics and leadership with the University of Colorado’s Business School. She is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, starting a new job at The Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and building a nuclear energy based startup with her husband, Element NRG.

Abra has served as a Vice President of Education on the Board of Directors at St. Anthony Hospital and Medical Campus, in Denver Colorado, and is presently an active member of IEEE’s Power Energy and Industrial Application Society and The Society for the Preservation of Canada’s Nuclear Heritage.
